Why PUBG Uses a Different Symbol Set
PUBG Mobile's name validator uses a character allowlist rather than a blocklist. This means only specific Unicode code points are permitted — everything else is rejected by default. The allowed list consists primarily of:

- CJK Unified Ideographs (王 女 文 气 爪 乇 ム 乙) — Chinese/Japanese/Korean characters present in every Asian-market device

- Special Unicode symbols (ʚ ॐ 卍 īlī ٭ ๛) — individually approved by PUBG's content team for the Asian market
